The Winston-Salem Journal and the Winston-Salem Dash want you to audition for a chance to sing the National Anthem at a Winston-Salem Dash game at BB&T Ballpark this season!
Who Can Audition?
Whether you’re an adult or child, like to sing solo, sing with a friend, sing with a group or choir, or play an *instrument, we want you! No age restrictions apply (children under the age of 18 need a parent/guardian consent in order to audition).
Registration
The first 125 people who register now until February 22 at 4:00pm will be placed a pre-registered walk-up list. A contact with the Dash will e-mail you an assigned time for audition day (February 25).
Walk-ups
Walk-ups will be able to perform the National Anthem for the judging panel when there are breaks in the schedule between the times of 11AM-3PM. It will also be possible to register for a walk-up audition at Hanes Mall on Saturday, February 25th. Registration tables and the audition stage will be located on the lower level next to Belk.
Top 5 Finalists
The Top 5 Finalists will be chosen based on the highest scores given by the judges. The Top 5 will each receive an opportunity to sing at a Dash home game during the 2017 season plus 4 tickets to the game!
The Top 5 Finalists will have their audition video uploaded to an online contest where users may vote for their favorite audition. The video with the most votes will win the Grand Prize Package and will sing at the 4th of July Dash game!

Even if you can’t sing, come cheer for your favorite anthem singers!

*Please provide any music equipment (including amplifiers) if you are playing an instrument.
Online registrations will close after 125 registrations have been received. Contestants will audition a capella (without music) for a panel of celebrity judges. We will not provide printed lyrics. Come attired as if it were game day and you were performing live on field. The auditions may be videotaped and recorded. All contestants are asked to stay within the 90 second allotted time slot they are scheduled. All contestants will be contacted after all auditions are complete.
